Last week I signed up for Microeconomics. It is a "Winter-Mester" course, so it is fast paced. So far I am keeping up and just took the first of 4 tests. We are going to visit the ice sculpture exhibit at the Gaylord in Grapevine this afternoon. I'll see if I can post some pictures later.Michael is out of kindergarten on Christmas break and really looking forward to Johnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188028192235250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5634410.post-1124210465023784282005-08-09T20:36:00.000-05:002006-10-27T10:00:48.799-05:00I finished Calculus II with an A on the test and the course tonight! Yippeee!!!!Taking Calc I & II during the summer was a real challenge and I know that Michael missed seeing me. The courses were 4 nights a week, 2 hours each for 5 weeks each. Now to get ready for Statistics and Linear Algebra at UT-Dallas during the fall. I am also going to try and CLEP out of Biology and I may take Johnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188028192235250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5634410.post-1116613084173762042005-05-07T21:18:00.000-05:002006-10-26T17:25:54.968-05:00Dad, Kristine, Mary Jean, Michael, Olivia, and I went to the Okefenokee Swamp and rented a couple of boats. We saw lots of alligators, no one got wet and we all had fun. Johnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188028192235250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5634410.post-1117047850395668162005-05-06T22:59:00.000-05:002006-10-26T17:25:55.364-05:00It is Friday, our last day at Disney. :( We decided to go back to MGM to see if we could get the rest of the Incredibles to autograph Michael's book. We were successful! Mr. Incredible and ElastiGirl were there. We also rode the Star Wars ride again and one we missed the first time called The Great Movie Ride. Michael really liked it when we went by the gangsters shooting and when the boss jumpedJohnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188028192235250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5634410.post-1117047556118053042005-05-05T13:53:00.000-05:002006-10-26T17:25:55.299-05:00Today we headed to the Animal Kingdom. It was a little disappointing, but still fun. (mostly because it was small compared to the other parks. We saw the Lion King Show and the Tarzan show. We also went on a Safari and saw lots of wild animals. Towards the end, we went on a Dinosaur ride. It was the only ride so far that scared Michael. It was so jerky and jumpy and it was very dark. But after weJohnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188028192235250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5634410.post-1117046988470800902005-05-04T22:41:00.000-05:002006-10-26T17:25:55.210-05:00Today we did Epcot. We started the day with Breakfast with Chef Mickey at the Contemporary Hotel. It was fun and the buffet was good too. Then we headed to Epcot. Michael and I played a game and finished in second place (I thought my legs were going to give out). One of us had to run real fast (me) while the other jumped to avoid obstacles. After that we went to another area and built (assembled)Johnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188028192235250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5634410.post-1117045745362560592005-05-03T21:20:00.000-05:002006-10-26T17:25:55.123-05:00Today we had breakfast with Pooh and his friends at the Magic Kingdom! The buffet was good and we saw Pooh, Eeorye, Tigger, and Piglet. After breakfast we hit the Kingdom! Michael rode his first roller coaster, later we rode Splash Mountain and he loved both of them. The three best rides (according to Michael) were, Splash Mountain, The Haunted Mansion, and the Buzz Lightyear ride. On the Buzz Johnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188028192235250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5634410.post-1117042119485043772005-05-02T22:54:00.000-05:002006-10-26T17:25:55.041-05:00Well today we hit the first Disneyworld Park, MGM Studios. We had a blast! Michael especially liked the Star Wars ride, which was actually a simulation of a space trip to alderon. It was a lot of fun so we rode it twice! Next we went to the Muppet Vision 3-D show and that was a hit too. After we finished up with that, it was off to meet the Power Rangers! They signed autographs and posed with theJohnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188028192235250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5634410.post-1116610259442302902005-05-01T20:19:00.000-05:002006-10-26T17:25:54.890-05:00We got to DisneyWorld today and checked into our hotel, All-Star Movies. We got lucky and were able to get a room in the Woody building. Michael really wanted to stay in the Buzz Lightyear bld. but the Woody building was a close second. :)Johnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188028192235250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5634410.post-1115825069963802082005-04-29T22:18:00.000-05:002006-10-26T17:25:54.779-05:00We finally made it to Georgia. We passed two bad accidents in FL, one looked like it was a fatality accident and the other had a car that flipped upside down.Michael did very well in the car, mostly watching Star Wars on DVD. He was a little shy when we got to Mary Jeans for dinner (too many new people), but he quickly got over it and he played with Olivia (Monique's daughter) and Teresa's Johnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188028192235250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5634410.post-1115824391499860692005-04-28T22:06:00.000-05:002006-10-26T17:25:54.704-05:00Well we got off a little late today, but we are finally off on our vacation! We made it to Gulfport MS, where we stayed at a Hampton Inn. Michael really likes the hotels where he can jump on and between the two beds. We will be at Dad's tomorrow.Johnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188028192235250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5634410.post-1113312467763510392005-04-11T21:24:00.000-05:002006-10-26T17:25:54.542-05:00Today was Kristine's birthday. We had a small cake and Michael helped her blow out the candles. Later, Kristine went out for her monthly "girls night out". She said she had a good time (I know she always does).Kristine took Michael to the doctor for his 4 year check -up and he is doing great (41" & 41 lbs).Michael and I played Candyland and Trouble. and then he took a bath with a "magic" Johnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188028192235250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5634410.post-1113312666373901582005-04-10T20:28:00.000-05:002006-10-26T17:25:54.625-05:00Today was a quite day. We went to church and there was a visiting priest from either Ireland or England.Later, as a birthday present, we went to Maggiano's Italian restaraunt. The food was good, however the service was only so-so.Johnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188028192235250858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5634410.post-1112707759255096042005-03-23T20:23:00.000-06:002006-10-26T17:25:54.394-05:00Michael had a birthday party at Toys "r" Us this afternoon in Frisco. He had a blast with all of his friends both from school and playgroup. The party had an "Incredibles" theme complete with cake which Michael thought was just the greatest.I was able to go too (taking an EXTRA long lunch). :) The employees really did a good job of entertaining and taking care of the kids. We must have bought 20 or 30 of the figures and he lines them all up on the floor and goes on missions to rescue people in the mountains and the fire. It is so cute to watch him (rescue Hero Michael) and I am Rescue Hero Daddy.

It started out innocently while I was watering the grass and then turned in to a full-fledged water fight. It was lots of fun and Mom didn't mind too much except that we were wet coming in the house.

We have started to paint the living room this past Friday and it is coming along well. I didn't think tan with dark brown accents would look good, but it is growing on me. :)
Michael said his first real sentence on Saturday. "Daddy, Thank You Fix Pooh Night Light".
